Building Artistic Communities that support LGBTQ+ Students and Families
Using GLSEN research and resources, participants will develop an understanding of the importance of adult allies to LGBTQ+ students and explore the specific ways in which they can educate, advocate and support LGBTQ students and promote safe learning environments for all students.

Mondays, July 12, 19 & 26, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
There are nine hours of virtual learning and 6 hours of independent assignments.
How do I get the LGBTQ+ #mcred?
Arts Educators and Teaching Artists must complete the prerequisite course, Learning Through the Creative Process. Participants can complete the course prior to OR within 12 months of the LGBTQ+ course.
**Non-arts educators can receive a waiver for the prerequisite course.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive the LGBTQ+ #mcred endorsement. MSDE CPD credit is also available for Maryland educators.
