Learning through The Creative Process: Standards-driven Creative Spaces
Overview:
Participants explore the connective tissue of the Maryland State Fine Arts Standards and the Creative Process. By investigating their own teaching and making methods, participants gain a deeper understanding of their own artistic habits and patterns. We will explore the five arts discipline of the Maryland State Fine Arts Standards: dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual art.
The course is a launchpad into a reflective and strengths-based approach to professional learning through Maryland Micro-Credentials. This is the prerequisite course for all #mcred courses.

Technology
A laptop or desktop computer to access Zoom (the learning platform) and digital learning materials in class. The computer must have a working microphone and camera.
Supplies Needed:
We will be creating artistic work in real-time. Bring tools, equipment or instruments that you use in your artistic practice (i.e. guitar, dance shoes, camera, watercolor and brushes, etc.).
How do I get the Creative Process #mcred?:
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive the Creative Process #mcred endorsement and one (1) MSDE CPD credit, if applicable.
